As great as Semaglutide is at helping many individuals reduce body fat, control blood sugar, and reach their weight loss goals, there are some drawbacks to the treatment and more well-rounded protocols that may be used.
One of the drawbacks of using Semaglutide alone is that many patients dramatically reduce body fat, but some patients can feel sick, tired, and fatigued in addition to depleting lean muscle mass and bone density. Needless to say, this is counterproductive and although many of these patients may be thrilled with the amount of body weight they have lost, they may not necessarily be happy with the way that they feel while being on Semaglutide or the loss of lean muscle mass and or bone density.
For these reasons, there are different protocols that can be used in combination with Semaglutide treatment that can enhance and expedite the weight loss process but at the same time reduce and mitigate these side effects.
Combining the appropriate vitamin and mineral supplementation with Semaglutide therapy:
Supplementing with the correct vitamins and minerals supplements and in the right combination can mitigate the reduction of bone mass, and bone density. Furthermore, some of these vitamins and minerals are available in prescription injection formulas, which have a much higher absorption rate than OTC oral preparations and work much better.
Combining HRT & TRT with Semaglutide therapy:
One of the reasons and contributing factors as to why many adults may be overweight or obese in the first place may be tied to hormone balance from the very beginning. Without having the appropriate hormone balance, it could be very difficult to reduce body weight and body fat, even when dieting and exercising appropriately.
Second, if the naturally occurring sex, hormones are already deficient, the body is already in a state, where it may be reducing lean muscle mass and at the same time increasing body fat. (This is what’s known as becoming “Skinny fat’) Therefore, having the correct hormone balance in combination with Semaglutide therapy not only helps facilitate faster fat loss but can also preserve lean muscle mass in addition to building additional lean muscle mass.
Eating the correct food and diet while on Semaglutide therapy:
While being on Semaglutide therapy many individuals can feel sick, tired, weak, and or fatigued. Many of these issues can be a result of not eating the right foods while being on Semaglutide, the timing of eating, and or the amount of food in one sitting. Certain foods and meal plans work in combination with Semaglutide therapy and can enhance the results and overall experience in general.
Protocol and dosing of Semaglutide:
It’s not easy to find Semaglutide therapy nowadays but does not mean you will have the best care or success of the program. Finding the correct physician with the experience to understand how to appropriately prescribe the medication to best fit your medical needs and goals is of the utmost importance.
It is important to remember that there is no such thing as a “one size fits all” protocol.
